Yes! PocketNovels is free to download and the first chapters of every novel are free to read. You can unlock additional chapters using coins, which can be purchased in the app.
Coins are the in-app currency used to unlock premium chapters. You receive free starter coins when you first install the app. Additional coins can be purchased in bundles from the Coin Store. Each chapter costs 3 coins to unlock, and once unlocked, a chapter is yours to read forever.
Your reading progress, library, and bookmarks are all stored locally on your device. Chapters need to be loaded online initially, but once loaded they are cached for offline reading.
While reading, tap the center of the screen to open the reader menu, then tap the settings icon. You can switch between Light, Dark, Sepia, and AMOLED Black themes. You can also change fonts, font size, and line spacing.
Open the reader settings menu while reading and look for the reading mode toggle. You can switch between paginated (page-turn) and continuous scroll mode at any time.
Currently, reading progress and library data are stored locally on your device. Cross-device sync is a feature we're working on for a future update.
You can clear your reading history, library, and preferences from the Settings screen within the app. Uninstalling the app will also remove all stored data from your device.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. If your coins didn't appear, try the "Restore Purchases" option in the Coin Store. If the issue persists, please contact us at support@pocketnovels.app with your Apple receipt.
